This puppy was brought to the shelter by young teenagers . She had a a big wound and was emaciated. The vet had to stich her up. When she got well,we took her to a Harley Davidson event for FMCTAS and she was adopted that day.They named her Harley.
Sparky was hospitalized 2 days for parvo, survived and was adopted.
These two puppies were taken from a home by FMCTAS. They were kept in a trailer's bathroom all the time and were in terrible condition. After many washes, visit to vets , spay and neuter by FMCTAS (as we do all animals before adopting them out) they went to the same home.
Pepper was abandoned by a family at Grogans Mill plaza. FMCTAS located the family but they didn't want her. FMCTAS vetted her, fostered her and found her a loving family.

Mandy came into the shelter with a broken leg. FMCTAS fostered her for 6 months after paying for surgery. She has since been adopted .
Cindy was found in the street and brought to the shelter just when Sandra was walking in from a long trip. She grabbed her and took her home. The puppy had mange, and passed it on to Sandra ! She was adopted and was named Porsha.
Buddy was left at the shelter, sick with pneumonia. It took weeks of respiratory treatments to save him. He was adopted to the Daniels family. Now he is their Baby.
I found this beautiful Hound dog at the shelter after 5 days with no electricity( during Hurricane IKE). He had a broken hip. I took him home and named him IKE. It took him months to overcome his fears, he was adopted to a loving family after 6 months with me.
Terry was a 3 month old puppy in the isolation room at MCAS, with distemper. FMCTAS hospitalized him and he pulled through. Later his pancreas was not assimilating any food and he almost died on us. FMCTAS had to foster him for 5 more months with daily meds. Now he is a healthy dog, with a temper!
Peter and his sister, found in the streets starving and full of worms. FMCTAS adopted sister and fostered Peter for 7 months until he found a forever home with a pool ( a must for him).
